We spent the last couple of weeks focusing on our sin. This week we focus on the Savior!
Challenge 1: Memorize verses and send video of you reciting to your triplet again.
John 10:10-11. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep."
Challenge 2: Applying theology. A powerful gift God has given us is realizing how His character impacts everyday life. Grab a piece of paper, review the phrases below from memory verses, and answer this question for each phrase: "How would remembering this truth help/encourage/motivate me in everyday life?"
a) Jesus came to earth to purchase/gift me with true, abundant life.
b) Jesus is my good shepherd/leader.
c) Jesus loved me so much that He laid down His life for me.
THEN Send a video showing your paper and sharing some of your answers.
Phone call discussion:
a) How can focusing on the character of Christ compel us toward increased, happier surrender to Him (like we have been hearing in our recent sermons)?
b) How is the Holy Spirit prompting you through the Surrender sermons thus far?
c) Pray for one another.
